The FABXR/FABXLR is designed to be
used as a standard Retractable Type
Fall Arrester during normal work at
height or a retrieval device in emergency
applications to rescue a fallen worker.
Not for use in material handling operations.
OPERATION (Normal Fall
Arrest Applications):
1) Mount FABXR/FABXLR to compatible
tripod or davit and ensure there
is sufficient free area around the
FABXLR for the handle to fully rotate
in the event of an emergency.
2) Attach snap hook to dorsal or rescue
D-ring. FABXR/FABXLR brakes will lock
automatically in the event of a fall.
OPERATION (Retrieval):
1) Remove the red security
padlock and safety pin.
2) Push the button in the center of handle
attachment point to release handle
from housing and engage gears.
2) To raise worker, rotate handle clockwise.
3) To lower worker, rotate handle
clockwise 1/8th turn to release brakes,
then rotate handle anti-clockwise.
4) To disengage gears, rotate handle back
to normal storage position, push button
in the center of handle attachment and
push handle into recess on housing.
Before use ensure the red security
padlock is present and intact. If missing
or damaged DO NOT USE. If in doubt
see user manual for clarification.
MAX LOAD: 136kg
MAX LIFT DISTANCE: Max working
length of RTFA - see engraving
on case or user manual.
DO NOT USE RECOVERY HANDLE
TO CARRY THE FABXLR.
DO NOT ALLOW LINE TO GO
SLACK IN RESCUE MODE.
