CAUTION
•
Always use cold water when fi lling the kettle.
•
The water level must be between the marks for minimum and maximum volume. If the kettle is overfi lled
there is a risk of boiling water splashing.
•
Always switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
•
Always make sure the lid is well closed.
•
The base and the outside of the kettle must not be wet.
•
Only use the kettle in combination with its original base.
USING THE APPLIANCE
We recommend that prior to fi rst use you „boil" the kettle twice with clean water.
1.
Fill the kettle with water. Do not overfi ll, watch the water level indicator.

Place the kettle on its base.

After plugging the appliance in the outlet, switch the kettle on using the power button 5. The power
indicator 6 signals heating of water.
4.
After the water reaches boiling the kettle automatically shuts off .
5.
If you need to boil the water in the kettle again, wait a little until the automatic safety deactivates.
6.
Unplug the cord from the outlet.
7.
Do not open the lid when pouring the water out.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
•
Always unplug the plug of the power supply from the outlet prior to cleaning the kettle!
•
Wipe the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth and then wipe dry. Do not use sharp objects or
abrasives, which might damage the surface fi nish.
•
Remove the limescale regularly. Use for this purpose commercially available supplies designed for
decalcifi cation of kitchen utensils.
