7 Protective equipotential
bonding/Grounding
NOTE
Before putting the system into operation, the pro-
duct assembly has to be grounded via a protective
bonding conductor in accordance with valid stan-
dards and country-specific regulations by a quali-
fied electrician. All metallic parts of the product
assembly have to be connected to the equipoten-
tial bonding bar of the building. The necessary
equipotential bonding cable made of copper must
have a cross section of at least 6mm². The stan-
dard DIN VDE 0100-540 is to be observed.
DANGER
Danger to life from electric current
There is danger to life if a live part is touched
– Disconnect all poles of the power supply and
secure the station against switching on again.
– Check that no voltage is present.
– The connection must only be carried out by a
qualified electrician.
If no cabinet is used, use the grounding point (A) of
the base plate for equipotential bonding.

plate is included in the Oventrop delivery programme
(OV item number 1349983).

8 Operation

8.1 Initial operation

The system must be flushed thoroughly before initial
operation with due consideration of the permissible
operating pressures.

The following points must be observed during initial
operation:
– Clean filter in the supply of the supply pipe (11) by
flushing the dirt via the draining valve.
– Clean filter in the return of the heating circuit (10)
by flushing the dirt via the draining valve.

8.2 Filling and bleeding

DANGER
Imminent danger to life and limb
The fluid escaping during bleeding can be very
hot. Wear protective clothing and cover vent bore
with a cloth if required
