Safety-related information
serves the automatic flow control.
Any other use of the product will be considered
incorrect use.
Claims of any kind against the manufacturer
and/or its authorised representatives due to
damage caused by incorrect use will not be
recognised.
Observance of the operating instructions is part
of compliance with correct use.

2.3 Foreseeable misuse

Constructive measures are not sufficient to
exclude misuse.
The following must therefore be avoided:
• Mixing up of supply and return.
• Operation with aggressive fluids (e.g.
steam or oil).

2.4 Modifications to the product

Modifications to the product are not permitted.
In the case of modifications to the product,
the warranty will become void. The manufac-
turer will not accept liability for damage and
malfunctions caused by modifications to the
product.

2.5 Warnings

Each warning contains the following elements:
Warning symbol SIGNAL WORD
Type and source of danger!
Possible consequences if the danger
occurs or the warning is ignored.
f Ways to avoid the danger.
The signal words identify the severity of the
danger arising from a situation.
NOTICE
Indicates a situation that may lead to
damage to property if not avoided.

2.6 Safety notes

This product has been produced to up-to-
date technological standards and is safe to
operate. However, residual dangers to people
and property may occur during installation and
operation.
2.6.1 Danger in case of inadequate
personnel qualification
Work on this product may only be carried out
by qualified tradespeople.
Sanitary, heating and air-conditioning
specialists
Sanitary, heating and air-conditioning spe-
cialists are able to carry out work on heating
and potable water systems as a result of their
professional training, expertise, and experi-
ence, as well as their knowledge of the relevant
standards and regulations. They must identify
potential dangers.
2.6.2 Risk of injury from pressurised
components
f Before starting work, make sure that the
system is depressurised.
f Observe the permissible operating tem-
peratures during operation.
2.6.3 Risk of scalding due to an
uncontrolled escape of hot fluids
f Before starting work on the surface heat-
ing/cooling or potable water circuit, make
sure that the system is depressurised.
f After all work has been completed, check
the product for tightness.
f Wear safety goggles.
2.6.4 Risk of burns due to hot
components and surfaces
f Before starting work, let the product cool
down.
f Wear protective clothing to avoid unpro-
tected contact with hot system compo-
nents and fittings.
2.6.5 Risk of injury in case of improper
work
Stored residual energy and sharp components,
edges, and protrusions on the product may
