1.4 Think of your safety
If you smell gas, it is expressly prohibited:
– To ignite an appliance
– To touch electrical switches, or to telephone from the area in question
Take the following action:
– Switch off the gas and electricity
– Activate the operational emergency plan
– Evacuate the building if necessary

2.0 Installation

2.1 Positioning the appliance
After unpacking, check the appliance for damage. Check the accuracy of the type/model and the
electrical voltage. Place the appliance and any accessories on a sufficiently solid structure [2 & 3],
taking into account the minimum free space required [2]. Note in particular the space needed for
cleaning the burner and flue gas fan.
2.2 Positioning the flue gas exhaust system and air supply

Note that for type AR 1.1 H/V the maximum length L may not exceed 1 metre, otherwise a
concentric to parallel transition piece should be fitted. The maximum length L of the intake and
flue pipe is six metres incl. 2x2 90° bends (3xD). Each additional right-angled bend shortens the
length by 2 metres. If possible, use bends of 45°. Different flue plans are possible on request.
C12 Flue gas exhaust system [6] [7]
Note that for type AR 1.1 H/V the maximum length L may not exceed 1 metre, otherwise a
concentric to parallel transition piece should be fitted. A bend may, if required, be fitted directly
on the appliance. The maximum length L of the intake and flue pipe is six metres incl. 2x2 90°
bends. Each additional right-angled bend shortens the length by 2 metres. If possible, use bends of
45°. Different flue plans are possible on request. The flue gas exhaust system should be installed
with a minimum of a 3° pitch from the appliance. [4]
B22 Flue gas exhaust system [6] [7]
The combustion air is drawn in from the room and flue gases are discharged outside. The
maximum length L of the flue pipe is six metres incl. 2 x 90° bends. In this application only a
vertical flue through a flat roof is permitted. A mesh guard should be placed on the combustion
air intake. To supply the appliance with sufficient combustion air, this system should only be used
if room is ventilated to al least 2 m
to occur in the room, a closed design of type C must always be used.
