twice for a further control of the pump starting order.
Always regulate the desired pressure downstream with
the screw or the nut "A".

5.2 ELECTRIC TESTS

• Check the continuity of the earth circuit.
• Test the applied voltage (dielectric rigidity).
• Test the insulating resistance..

5.3 HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL TESTS

• Check the direction of rotation of the pumps
• Mechanical test of the moving parts and checking of
noise (on each pump)
• Test the seal with delivery closed and check the head
shown on the plate.
• Test operation in MANUAL mode (with the button on
the electric control panel) of each pump.
• Test operation in AUTOMATIC mode (with the switch
on the electric control panel) of the set.

CONDITIONS OF USE

Ebara booster sets can be used, in the standard

versions, for civil, industrial and agricultural
applications, in particular: for raising or
handling water, cooling, heating, irrigation,
washing plants. The pumped liquid may be:
clean water, drinking water, rainwater, ground
water, mixed and without solid bodies or
suspended fibres, and free from aggressive
chemical substances. The sets must be installed
in a covered area and protected against
inclement weather conditions and frost.
• Temperature of the conveyed water: 0° ÷ 50°C
(depending on the type of pumps installed).
• Temperature of the operating environment: 0° ÷ 40°C at
an altitude no higher than 1000 m a.s.l.
• Max relative humidity 50% at +40°C
NB: it is useful to remember that the suction height
(installations above the head) decreases as the altitude and
temperature increase. These characteristics, depending on
the NPSH of the pump, must be considered when deciding
the dimensions of a system, so as to the phenomena of
cavitation or insufficient performance: the available NPSH
of the system must be higher than the NPSH required by
the pump. For applications with different technical
characteristics, uses, or weather conditions (type of

PACKING AND DESPATCH

The booster sets are sent packed on wooden pallets and in
cardboard boxes for small dimensions; on sets of a certain
size, as well as the pallet a wooden cage is applied with an
additional polythene film covering. For obvious problems
of bulk, the suction manifold can be supplied dismantled.
Different packing systems (for sea freight and other) are
made on the precise request of the buyer.

7.1 HANDLING AND TRANSPORT

The set must be moved with the greatest care
ATTENTION!
during handling and transport. Particular
attention must be paid when lifting it and setting
it down, using a fork-lift truck; otherwise use the
eyebolts provided on the base, or means
suitable for this operation, avoiding anchoring
the lifting devices to the pumps, motors,
manifolds or other accessories. Blows, falls or
swinging must be avoied, which could cause
non apparent damage.
When removing the packaging, closely inspect the set to
ensure that it has not suffered damage or tampering during
transport; if it has, report the case within two months to the
carrier, also notifying the seller. If the set is to be kept in
store, it must be in a protected place as indicated in point 6.
8.

GUARANTEE

The guarantee covers operating faults and material defects of
the machines produced by Ebara Pumps Europe S.p.A., and
it comes into force for a period of 24 months from the date of
the despatch note of the set. It is limited to the repair or
replacement of badly operating or faulty parts. These
operations will be carried out on the premises of the seller, or
at assistance centres authorised by Ebara Pumps Europe
S.p.A. The guarantee becomes invalided in cases where:
• sets have been dismantled or repairs have been carried
out by operators who are not authorised by Ebara
Pumps Europe S.p.A.;
• faulty operation derives from the incorrect installation
and/or electrical connection, tampering, improper use
or use beyond the limits indicated in this manual;
• the set has been used to pump corrosive liquids, sandy
waters, chemically or physically aggressive liquids,
without this having been first checked and authorised
by Ebara Pumps Europe S.p.A.;
• the damage reported depends on normal wear due to use;
• the defects claimed have been reported more than two
months after their discovery.

8.1 COMPLAINTS

For all disputes, of whatever origin, in the interpretation
and/or execution of contracts, the exclusive competent
court is the Court of Trento.
9.
INSTALLATION
ATTENTION!
• Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel. For
the functional and environmental conditions, see point 6.
