General instructions for use
These notes on use describe the normal use of the product.
Please read all information carefully.
These instructions for use do not replace the user manual of the
electrosurgical unit used! Read the user manual of the electro-
surgical unit and ask Erbe or your distributor in case of doubt!
Note: Report serious incidents with the product to your local
dealer or Erbe. If you are a user in the European Union, also re-
port incidents to the responsible authority in your Member State.

Intended use / Indications for use
The BiClamp is intended for bipolar coagulation, ligation of ves-
sels, tissue bundles, and lymphatics as well as to grasp and dis-
sect tissue.
BiClamp, Art. No. 20195-202, 20195-203, 20195-221, 21195-
202, 21195-203, 21195-221, and 21195-190: these instru-
ments can be used for sealing of vessels such as arteries, veins,
and lymphatics up to and including diameters of 7 mm and for
sealing of vascularized tissue bundles.
BiClamp, Art. No. 20195-280, 20195-299, 21195-280, and
21195-299: these instruments can be used for sealing of vessels
such as arteries, veins, and lymphatics up to and including diam-
eters of 5 mm and for sealing of vascularized tissue bundles.
BiClamp, Art. No. 20195-200 and 21195-200: these instruments
can be used for bipolar coagulation of vessels such as arteries,
veins, and lymphatics and for bipolar coagulation of vascularized
tissue bundles.
The BiClamp is indicated for use in open surgical procedures, in-
cluding but not limited to general surgery, urology, and gynecol-
ogy.
