Safety instructions
WARNING!
If a seam sealed with the instrument is separated using another
energy-based instrument, the seam can be damaged. Do not use
any other energy-based instrument (e.g., ultrasound instrument
or electrosurgical instrument).
BiClamp 20195-202, 20195-203, 20195-221, 21195-202,
21195-203, 21195-221 and 21195-190: Do not use the product
on vessels with a diameter greater than 7 mm.
BiClamp 20195-280, 20195-299, 21195-280 and 21195-299:
Do not use the product on vessels with a diameter greater than
5 mm.
The activated electrosurgical unit can impair the performance of
or damage cardiac pacemakers, internal defibrillators and other
active implants. In the case of patients wearing active implants,
consult the manufacturer of the implant or the relevant specialist
department of your hospital prior to surgery.
Check the product before use for external damage! You must ob-
serve the instructions in the chapter "Check". Do not use this
product if it is damaged!
Erbe recommends carrying out an electrical continuity test be-
fore each application of these products.
This can be carried out, for example, with a performance test on
a cloth soaked in sterile saline solution.
If the cable conductor is broken or the electrical transmission of
the cable is interrupted in any other way, this may lead to arc
formation in the patient return line or in the active circuit; this
may cause burns to the patient/surgical staff or start a fire.
Do not use in the presence of combustible or explosive materi-
als!
