Touch AF/Touch AF + Shutter release
In this mode, the AF frame can be moved for every picture, without
additional settings in the menu. The metering characteristics and
metering field size correspond to single field metering.

Pictures
In this case, the focusing process does not take place when the
shutter release is pressed to the pressure point but immediately
when you press the monitor. In addition, the
function can be used to focus and automatically take a picture with
just one touch.
Note:
The metering field remains at the last point determined, even after
turning off the camera.

Multi-field metering
This metering method detects the subject using a total of 11 fields.
Focusing is carried out automatically on the parts of the subject at
the shortest distance, thus providing maximum reliability for snap-
shots. The fields used are indicated with AF frames.
Normally, 9 of the 11 fields are used. These are positioned to cover
the majority of the central part of the image.

In this mode, your Leica TL automatically detects faces in the
picture and focuses on the one at the shortest distance. If no faces
are detected, multi-field metering is used.
